The Row RTW Spring 2024

Could The Row be a Parisian brand, at least in part? Of course, it was born in New York and remains there. Vogue Runway’s Sarah Mower enthused over the “ingenuously subtle” clothing in her Fall ’23 review, concluding that the collection was “very New York.” When this Paris-based reviewer arrived at The Row’s permanent Paris home, an 18th-century hotel particulier around the corner from the Place Vendôme, only to learn that there is a full design studio located beneath the vast showroom, she began to reconsider the brand’s geographic, creative, and spiritual identity.

The Row decided not to hold a show or a presentation at Paris Fashion Week. An enfilade of elegant salons highlighted with design furnishings from Paris galleries and naturalistic floral arrangements featured mannequins wearing a selection of the 80 outfits for spring. There was no music; just a serene grandeur that suggested a refined, even Parisian taste. The collection was released with the rationale that a wider choice of men’s apparel resulted in pieces that overlapped with the women’s offering. Can you find the knee-length black leather trench that occurs throughout the collection? The casual tees with retro stripes? The jeans that have been expertly ripped at the knees to increase their desirability? Take note, too, of how the tailoring that appeared boxy and generous on a female body is equally sleek on the male counterpart.

Although Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were not there, their influence was felt throughout the spectrum of this covetable wardrobe: relaxed layering, intelligent silhouettes, and lived-in looks as simple as a button-front shirt and trousers. The collection suggested a casual confidence for every piece in a dressier register—see the hand-embroidered slip dress worn over a gray T-shirt, or the pumps with higher heels. Primary colors alternated with pastels in the collection, as seen in the vivid red high-neck dress and soft pink cashmere polo.

With enough time to comprehend the details, one can understand why people swoon over the most seemingly insignificant outfit. An costume consisting of an outside jacket, a pine green corduroy shirt, and pants was both scholarly and casual, as if it reflected a mix of vintage inspiration and social studies. A suede cape that cocooned around the body was the ne plus ultra of snug luxury, as a leather paneled windbreaker was painstakingly built from the inside. New distinctive bag styles were unabashedly large and as true to The Row as any logo.

We are all aware that Parisian style is indescribable and cannot be distilled into a single template. However, the studio here may absorb local culture and benefits from proximity to manufacturers in France and Italy, where a substantial portion of the collections are produced. If a retail location to equal those in Los Angeles, New York, and London would give The Row its Paris credentials, let’s agree for the time being that the brand has nailed its je ne sais quoi.
The Row is the name given to the collection of luxury fashion houses owned and operated by the American-based conglomerate LVMH – Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. Founded in 1987 by a merger between the two companies, The Row is known for its extremely high quality and exquisite taste in clothing and accessories. It is renowned for its ability to produce pieces that mix the traditional styles of classic fashion with modern elements and unique detailing.

The Row is made up of eighteen prestigious labels including Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, and Dior Homme. These iconic brands are known around the world for their sophisticated and luxurious aesthetic. The Row offers a range of clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories for both men and women. The collections, while focusing on quality and fashion, also prioritize comfort and ease of movement.

Each brand offers a different type of clothing, ensuring that there is something for everyone. The Fendi collection includes bold statement pieces with modern silhouettes, while the Marc Jacobs line features perfectly tailored suits and dresses. Christian Dior’s selection offers the most glamorous and chic silhouettes, while Louis Vuitton’s range includes travel essentials and timeless accessories. No matter the occasion, there is something for you to find in The Row.

The Row is the ultimate in luxury fashion and is considered a prime destination for those looking to invest in pieces that will last. With its luxurious materials, luxurious designs, and timeless appeal, it is easy to see why The Row is such a beloved destination for fashion lovers.
